Menu

SIT: Brunch is back, and so is the sunshine.

With longer days and lighter mornings, Melbourne’s brunch scene is coming back to life. Whether it’s an oat flatty, a mimosa in the sun or something sweet on a terrace, there’s no better way to spend a spring weekend. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourite brunch spots across the city — the kind of places made for lazy starts, strong coffee, good booze and perfectly poached eggs.

Hardware Société (CBD)
A Parisian-inspired classic serving decadent baked eggs, buttery pastries and coffee that never misses. The pink plates and tiled interiors are just as photo-worthy as the food. Book here.

Terror Twilight (Collingwood)
Cool, calm and distinctly Melbourne. Known for its inventive brunch menu and house-made chilli oil, this one’s a crowd-pleaser for a reason.
Walk-ins only. Here’s the menu.

The Kettle Black (South Melbourne)
Architectural interiors meet elevated brunch classics — think ricotta hotcakes, citrus curd and all the natural light your Instagram feed could ever need. Book here.

Galleon Cafe (St Kilda)
An old-school favourite with soul. Galleon’s vintage charm, mismatched furniture and hearty menu make it feel like home — if home came with bottomless coffee and coastal breeze. Come for the nostalgia, stay for the chilli scramble.
Walk-ins only. Check out their instagram.

Moby (Armadale)
With its sunny rooftop terrace and Mediterranean-inspired menu, Moby is made for long lunches that accidentally stretch into the afternoon. Cancel your weekend plans and stay a little longer. Book here.
