Batéau

Client: Castran Gilbert
Project: Branding strategy initiated with an exploration of the local milieu - both of Brighton’s rich cultural traditions and the way the community is transforming as the broader Melbourne culture continues to evolve - and an investigation into those who will be living within these homes. Finding inspiration from Brighton’s historical reverence, beachside elegance and the youthful energy that is reenergising the local landscape, the name Batéau (meaning boat in French) was chosen to playful draw on the Brighton lifestyle. The proceeding brand communication developed from this axis, using an emotive branding image to draw audiences in, this was animated on the project website, creating an incredibly captivating, peaceful mood that established the essence of the development itself: simple, easy elegance.
