Client: Five5eeds, Utah
Project: Earl St’s first international venture saw us team up with esteemed interior design extraordinaires, Hecker Guthrie, for a project that aimed to bring a little of Melbourne’s famed cafe culture to the ski slopes of Utah. Nestled at the foothills of one of the U.S.’s most picturesque snowfields, the branding was mused from the beautiful, wild sublimity of the backdrop. Using landscape photography of the area, we manipulated the images to create an ethereal, almost gothic effect that played on the sublime natural surrounds. Coupled with a clever play on the name - repeating the Five as the “S” in the second part of the brand - a modern type font was used along with a clean, understated complimentary colour palette, to create a narrative around the venture that reverberates their unique brand philosophy, while still telling a story of the locale.
